Best tips and strategies to take your cycling to new heights
Are you ready to conquer the Peaks Challenge 2025? Join us at Heights Cycling for an exclusive event on how to prepare for cycling endurance events. This in-person gathering will provide you with expert tips, training strategies, and nutritional advice to help you reach your peak performance. We’re thrilled to welcome two world-class invitees: Oliver Hambidge, better known as Bo Duke on Strava finished the Peaks Challenge in 7h:52m, one of the fastest amateur times in 2019. More recently he has spent time in the virtual cycling world and currently has the fastest known times on Zwift for vQuarter and vBasecamp Everestings as well as the fastest known vEveresting time (7h:53m) on the now retired RGT platform. In 2023 he won “Chase the Yellow Challenge Road” as well as the 10 day stage race “v-RAAM” on RGT. While he isn’t returning to Peaks Challenge in 2025 (well physically anyway), Wednesday 18th is a chance for us all to see if he is real or now just exists ‘virtually’; and Nick Gatland, an elite coach who has guided athletes to sub-8-hour 3 Peaks triumphs and helped others achieve personal milestones. Nick’s own journey spans finishes ranging from under 8:30 to a rough post-Covid totally unprepared ride done as a mind test , surely showing the resilience and spirit that define the sport. We’re excited to announce that Ethan Kotlar, fresh off his victory at the prestigious The Wall 2024 road race with MWCC last Sunday, will also be joining us! Ethan delivered a phenomenal performance, showcasing an average power of over 900 watts over 30 secs on the final segment—an effort second only to Matt Dinham's legendary ride in 2016. Bring your bike and experience the action firsthand while exploring our state-of-the-art Heights Cycling Virtual Training Centre. We will have prizes for all who can replicate Ethan's 900 Watts for 30 seconds. Don't miss this opportunity to optimise your training and mentally prepare for the ultimate cycling challenge. We will have Pizza and Beers for all attendees, so register to secure your spot in the event!
