Shimano 11-Sp Road Cranksets Inspection and Replacement Campaign
Shimano has issued a recall for its 11 speed-bonded Hollowtech II road cranksets (Ultegra FC-6800 and FC-R8000, and the Dura-Ace FC-9000, FC-R9100 and FC-R9100-P), due to a fault that can cause the crank arm to separate from the main crank. Please note that not all the manufactured cranks are affected. The affected models were manufactured between 1 June 2012 and 30 June 2019. To identify if you should perform the inspection, a two-letter manufacturing code is stamped on the inside of the crank arm (The affected two-letter codes are: KF to KL, LA to LL, MA to ML, NA to NL, OA to OL, PA to PL, QA to QL, and RA to RF.) Heightys Cycling as authorised Shimano Dealer invited all the riders to come and perform the voluntary crank inspection.
